NDUK Monthly Update - May 2024

As Nigerian doctors and dentists residing and practicing in the UK, our community embodies resilience, diversity, and excellence in every facet. May brings with it new opportunities, fresh perspectives, and a chance to further strengthen our bonds as a collective force within the healthcare landscape of the UK.

On behalf of the NDUK team, I wish you all a fantastic month ahead, filled with growth, fulfillment, and meaningful connections. Let's embark on this journey together, supporting one another every step of the way.

What We Did In April 2024

We're delighted to share a recap of our activities throughout April 2024, showcasing our commitment to fostering collaboration, well-being, and professional development within our vibrant community of Nigerian doctors and dentists in the UK. Here's a glimpse of what we've been up to:

  1. Inaugural Inter-regional Sports and Wellbeing Day: On April 27th, 2024, we hosted our first-ever Inter-regional Sports and Wellbeing Day in Birmingham. It was a fantastic opportunity for members from different regions to come together, engage in friendly competition, and prioritize their well-being through sports and recreational activities. The event was a resounding success, fostering camaraderie and promoting a healthy lifestyle among our members.

  2. 'Thriving in the UK' Webinar: In collaboration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and the Medical Association of Nigerians Across Great Britain (MANSAG), we organized a highly informative webinar titled 'Thriving in the UK.' This webinar provided valuable insights and practical tips for navigating the challenges and opportunities of practicing medicine in the UK. It was a testament to our ongoing commitment to supporting the professional growth and success of our members.

  3. Formation of Constitution Development Team: Recognizing the importance of a robust organizational framework, we have formed a dedicated team of professional doctors to collaborate with us on developing the NDUK constitution. This initiative aims to ensure transparency, accountability, and inclusivity in our operations, ultimately strengthening our association and serving the best interests of our members.

  4. Launch of Education Support Hub on Telegram: We're excited to announce the launch of our Education Support Hub on Telegram. This platform serves as a centralized resource hub where members can access educational materials, exchange knowledge, and seek support from peers. Whether you're preparing for exams, seeking career guidance, or simply looking to expand your knowledge, our Education Support Hub is here to empower you on your journey to success. As we reflect on these accomplishments, we're inspired by the collective effort and dedication of our members in advancing the mission of NDUK. We look forward to continuing this journey together and creating even more meaningful experiences and opportunities for growth in the months ahead.

Thank you for your unwavering support and participation.
